Earlier this month [June 2024], the St. Rita of Cascia Shrine Chapel celebrated the 30th anniversary of the ordination of two longtime priests.
The Rev. Tom McCarthy and the Rev. Bernie Scianna, both graduates of St. Rita High School, celebrated their 30th anniversary of ordination during a Novena Mass on June 6.
McCarthy and Scianna graduated from St. Rita High School in 1983, after they met the summer before freshman year during the school’s band camp.
